Checklist

Score one candidate process.

Tick each item that is true. Four or more ticks usually means the process is worth discussing for a first pilot.

Frequency Does the process happen every week or every day? Repeated work is easier to justify than a rare edge case. Inputs Does the process start from emails, forms, documents, tickets, or reports? Messy text plus structured output is a strong AI-assisted process signal. Systems Is the same information copied between two or more tools? Integration value increases when the workflow crosses systems. Review Can a person review the output before it reaches a customer or changes a record? Human review makes early pilots safer and easier to adopt. Value Would saving a few hours each week or improving response time matter commercially? The pilot should connect to time, quality, revenue, or customer experience. Risk Can the process avoid passwords, sensitive customer records, or regulated decisions in the first version? Lower-risk processes are better first pilots.

Interpretation

Use the score to choose the next action.

0-2 ticks: Keep it manual or use simple automation. It is probably not the first AI pilot.
3-4 ticks: Worth a short conversation. The process may need tighter scope before a pilot.
5-6 ticks: Strong candidate. Bring this process to the AI Workflow Pilot conversation.
